Step 1: Set up a domain name and hosting site.

Choose your domain name, business plan, hosting company, and additional services (if any) you want for your website. You can see our previous post on which are the best hosting websites to choose from.

Step 2: Building up a website.

  • Whichever web hosting site you registered with, that select WordPress from their marketing option and install it.
  • Use the domain name you chose for installation and click Next
  • Fill in the install setting as you are creating your account on WordPress and click install.
  • Your username and password are important and make sure to remember them and click on login.
  • Enter the same information on the WordPress login page and you are in the WordPress dashboard.
  • You will find a notification regarding your website. Click on that and you are now live on the internet which means anyone searching your page will find your website with a “Website coming soon” message.
  • Click on Appearance, go to themes, and then you can add new themes.
  • There are a lot of free as well as paid themes in the market; you can choose whichever suits your website better and according to your profession.
  • After selecting a theme your website when refreshed will have some changes.
  • Go back to your theme and add pages according to the need of your websites such as a home page, contact page, or a blog page by clicking Add New
  • Click on publish and update and after refreshing your website you can see the added pages on your website.
  • As you are creating a basic website you will probably want to have some basic plugins in your website. To know more about plugins and best plugins visit our website Webagency.expert
  • From plugins select a page builder, the most impressive one is Elementor Page Builder which has amazing features and has both free and paid versions.
  • Install the plugin and then activate it.
  • From options, you can choose the basic customization settings such as home page settings, sidebars, header, footer, menu, etc, and click Publish

Homepage Setting:

  • For homepage settings, you need to go through the settings and it’s better to check your page side by side so that you can observe which settings suit your page the most.
  • Go back to the dashboard, select Pages and click on Home, and then click on Edit.
  • You will see drag and drop options, add images, videos, buttons, etc.
  • You can choose images, videos, etc to make your website look more creative or you can choose a template.
  • Install the template, you will see that template in your WordPress> Dashboard> Pages> Home> Edit with Elementor.
  • The use of the template here is to let you build your website effortlessly. You can see the icon of the template you chose.
  • From there you can add and install templates, then install them and there you go.
  • Your website now has self-designed features due to these templates and then all you have to do is write about your website, make few changes here and there.
  • Templates are time-saving tools; you can work with them on your website, add few buttons, delete some pages, etc and create your website.
  • To know how your website looks like on desktop, tablet, or mobile you can see that by choosing options and then adjust accordingly.
  • To make sure that your website fits better go to Content> Layout> Responsive> Breakpoint> and select none.
  • After completing your work you can save it as a template or as a draft or update it so that you can see the changes on your live website.

Conclusion:

As of now, you are looking at a pretty basic version of your website which can be improved by exploring more with plugins and everyday view of your website from a third-party point of view.
